Lifebond was started in 1980 by the Dhamanwala Group, who are one of the pioneers to start the weaving and processing industry in SURAT since 1948.

Lifebond initially introduced shuttle looms and than as per market demand started manufacture twisting machines, winding machines Two For One twisting machines, Cop Winding Machines, Fabric inspection cum Rolling Machines Cam Type Rapier Looms and Crank Type Rapier Looms, High Speed Electronics Jacquards.
